This interactive workshop is designed to familiarize participants with new and imaginative ways for working with traumatized children in foster care and adoption and their families. Participants will be provided with a wide variety of play-based methodologies and interventions that have proven successful in working with children over the age of five in foster care and adoption. Participants will learn structured treatment activities, view examples, and receive a detailed handout explaining the goals of treatment, materials needed, and the “how to” approach for each methodology.

Due to the tremendous success of Groundbreaking Interventions Part I, we are pleased to offer a second presentation with even more techniques and new and imaginative ways of working with traumatized children in foster care and adoption. Through this experiential workshop, participants will be provided with a wide variety of play-based methodologies and interventions that have proven successful in working with children over the age of five. Participants will learn structured treatment activities, view examples, and receive a detailed handout explaining the goals of each treatment, materials needed, and the “how to approach” for each methodology. These interventions are best applicable for children ages 5 to 17.
