Working with Traumatized Children and Families in Foster Care and Adoption – PART I

This interactive workshop is designed to familiarize participants with new and imaginative ways for working with traumatized children in foster care and adoption and their families. Participants will be provided with a wide variety of play-based methodologies and interventions that have proven successful in working with children over the age of five in foster care and adoption. Participants will learn structured treatment activities, view examples, and receive a detailed handout explaining the goals of treatment, materials needed, and the “how to” approach for each methodology.
